In their senior year of college Steve and Greg’s future had already seemed assured. Steve was on his way to law school and Greg had a high-paying job all lined up on Wall Street. Yet, that spring, they had a dream, a dream of selling Buffalo-style Chicken wings in New York City. So, Steve and Greg told the Ivy league and Wall Street respectively, that they were going to “wing-it” and thus the dream of Pluck University was hatched.
Our two intrepid pluckers set out armed with a little ingenuity, determination, and Mom’s chicken wing recipe. From there they developed their five secret sauces: Mild, Medium, Hot, 2Hot (Death), and BBQ. They added other items including, chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, their special beef chili, fresh cut fries, onion rings, and salads.
Ready to open their restaurant. the two plunged into the wing business beak first. And on that day, August 31, 1989, Pluck University was born!
